Forklift Operator

Our client is looking for a reliable and eager forklift operator to join their team in Forrestfield. This role is rotating weekly rosters between day and afternoon shifts, with temp to permanent opportunities available!

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload sea containers from rail wagons as trains arrive
• Load and unload steel coils from trucks using a counterbalance forklift
• Remove foam blocks from containers by hand that secure steel coils
• Work both indoors and outdoors
• Opportunity to receive training in Gantry Crane operations (for suitable candidates)

Requirements:

• Current LF Forklift Licence (experience preferred, but applicants with limited experience and a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply)
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Gantry Crane ticket is highly regarded but not essential

Shift Details:

• Weekly rotating roster:
  • Day Shift: 5:45am – 2:00pm
  • Afternoon Shift: 1:45pm – 10:00pm
• Must be available to work both shifts
• Overtime and weekend work available for those interested
